Robert Soler of BIOS® honored among the best and brightest by LEDs Magazine

Carlsbad, CA, August 6, 2020 – BIOS®, a recognized innovator in the biological application of LED lighting, announced today that Robert Soler, VP of Biological Research and Technology, was honored as part of LEDs Magazine’s inaugural “40 Under 40 Awards” program. Selected by an esteemed and experienced panel of judges from the LED and lighting community, Dr. Soler has been recognized for his outstanding contribution and dedication to the field.

Robert Soler is Vice President of Biological Research and Technology at BIOS. Prior to his work with BIOS, he helped design and build the lighting system on the International Space Station (ISS), and collaborated with scientists to use LED lighting for photobiological purposes in space, including the circadian lighting system designed to synchronize circadian rhythms of astronauts aboard the ISS. He holds a Master of Science degree from the Lighting Research Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego.
