Central Regional Sales Manager
About the Role:
SkyView™ is seeking a driven, goal-oriented Regional Sales Manager to help grow its Central U.S. territory. The Central Regional Sales Manager will have a background in the lighting industry. A successful candidate will have a track record of growing sales within an organization and helping foster new business. The candidate should have knowledge of specification sales, the C&I channel, and lighting agency networks.
Location: Remote (Candidate must live in Central territory)
Position Type: Full Time
Reports to: VP of Sales
Salary Range: Base + Bonus (Estimated 1st year compensation is between $120,000 – $170,000 dependent on experience and job relaled factors)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a territory sales plan, goals and objectives, to drive sales growth through the agency network as it relates to the overall goals and objectives of SkyView™.
- Organize territory travel to provide effective sales coverage. Travel will be at least 50%.
- Work with SkyView™ manufacturer representatives in the Central region. Make joint sales calls with the agency sales team, train agency personnel on products and processes, coordinate efforts with inside sales support, and follow up on quotes and opportunities. Manage the sales pipeline.
- Establish annual sales goals and sales objectives for the agencies within the territory. Meet with principals to collaborate on agency goals and objectives and to communicate progress on an ongoing basis.
- Identify potential new representatives within the assigned territory as required.
- Work closely with inside sales and customer service to effectively and efficiently support SkyView™ agencies.
- Work and collaborate with the team for quoting and quote follow-up, project management, ordering and delivery, product customization, RMA’s, and follow-up as needed.
- Attend trade shows, agency events, and functions, support the agency at local IES and industry events, and trade shows that they attend.
- Provide information on competition and competitive products, industry trends, and industry information in general.
- Effectively manage administrative duties such as call reports, expense reports, and assigned projects.
- Proficient in the use of PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and CRM software.
- Knowledge in HubSpot is a plus.
- Great team player who is willing to support others in the sales department.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of lighting sales experience in some facet, i.e. Sales Agencies, Specification sales, Architecture, Showrooms, etc.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in regional sales management.
- Must be well organized and have excellent presentation and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of LED technology and products.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel at a proficient level.
- Must have great communication and leadership skills.
- Trade Show experience is a plus.
- Excellent speaking and presentation skills.
- College degree is preferred
- Prolonged standing or sitting.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel

Mechanical Engineer
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Carlsbad, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical components and assemblies. The ideal candidate brings strong SolidWorks proficiency, a solid engineering foundation, and ideally some exposure to the lighting industry. This is an on-site position based out of our Carlsbad office.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
- Create detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, manufacturing, and quality teams
- Support design reviews, tolerance analyses, and design for manufacturability (DFM) assessments
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs
- Identify and resolve design issues through root cause analysis
- Contribute to continuous improvement of products and engineering processes
- Assist with vendor and supplier coordination for custom parts and assemblies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and 2D drawings
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals (statics, dynamics, materials, thermodynamics)
- Experience with engineering documentation and change management processes
- Ability to work on-site at our Carlsbad, CA office — this is a required condition of employment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and ability to collaborate in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the lighting industry (fixture design, optics, thermal management, or related areas)
- Familiarity with LED technology, photometrics, or electrical/mechanical integration
- Experience with FEA or other simulation tools
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards (UL, IEC, ANSI/IESNA)
- Experience working with contract manufacturers or overseas supplier
