Carlsbad, CA, June 15, 2022- BIOS Lighting announces a new SkyView™ technology partnership with Selux Corporation to create a wellness lighting portfolio that brings the biological benefits of natural daylight indoors. A new BIOS SkyView pendant fixture and the popular SkyView tabletop task lamp will be displayed at BIOS booth #3053 during LightFair, June 21 to 23, 2022, in the new West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“We are very excited to be working together with BIOS and Billings Jackson Design. The strength of Selux with each of these entities creates an impeccable team. As Henry Ford stated, ‘Working together is success.” said Peter Stanway, CEO of Selux Corporation.”

A NASA spinoff, BIOS Lighting and the SkyView technology harness the healing properties of natural light—using dynamic sunrise, daytime, sunset, and nighttime cycles—to stimulate melanopsin response and natural circadian rhythm with the patented SkyBlue® spectrum.

To be introduced in Fall 2022, the new BIOS SkyView portfolio will include the pendant and the existing desktop task lamp. Selux will work directly with specifiers to integrate the fixtures into new construction and retrofit projects for commercial office environments.

“It is a privilege for BIOS to partner with Selux to bring our pioneering and stunning SkyView technology to new interior applications with lighting designed for true biological response,” said Robert Soler, VP of Biological Research and Technology for BIOS Lighting. “Unlike circadian LEDs that rely on color tuning, our SkyView solutions deliver an unprecedented daytime melanopic ratio of 1.5 to boost productivity and mood. As SkyView transitions from daytime to our sunset and nighttime modes, the daytime light signals are removed to promote better sleep and rest at home.”
